Using inks, acrylic paints, oil pastels, glazes and collage, I created this piece to represent the joy, complexity and motion of the landscape. The soft vs hard edges, the light vs dark spaces, and the organic vs measured marks reminds me of how nature incorporates all these opposites into a cohesive whole. I hope that you may imagine how our landscape draws in all these differences and reflects it back to us in beauty.
